Your problem: medical language has developed over centuries, is very precise, reflects the clinical working day and should therefore remain intact. The coding catalogues for diagnoses and procedures were created by epidemiologists and fulfill the needs of statistics and computation. However, they do not generally reflect the clinical working day.
Our solution: Semfinder was developed by physicians and understands medical language. Semfinder does not simply compare search terms and produce long lists of possible codes, instead it analyzes the free text formulation and understands its correlations and meaning. In that way Semfinder produces reliable codes even when other tools understand neither head nor tail of it.
